Our work with and for the refugees largely depends on donations – that way we can focus on our actual work.

Financial Donations

Residents of Holzwickede who have – for personal or professional reasons – limited time resources are also more than welcome to support “Willkommen in Howie” with financial donations.

Whilst supporting refugees, we rely on financial donations for various reasons. These are some examples:

• Material for language courses

• Legal council

• Support in case of illness

• Café of Encounter

• Cooking and baking activities

• Tools for flats / furniture assembly etc.

• Baby and small children’s fittings (if necessary)

• Costs for transportation or removal

Donations in kind

We only have limited capacities for storage. At the social department store “kaufnett” the refugees can collect a basic package of clothing. Later on they can use “kaufnett” as a low-price source of supplies.

For our work we need:

• Bathroom and kitchen towels
• Bedlinen (Pillow and duvet covers, sheets)
• Clean pillows, duvets and blankets
• Pots and bowls
• Cups with saucers, plates and cuttlery
• other household items (according to prior agreement)
